Donation to GreatFinds
ClearView's thrift store, GreatFinds, benefits mental health consumers and our
community in many ways.
GreatFinds provides job-training opportunities to consumers interested in honing
their retail sales skills before entering the competitive workforce. Consumers work
in volunteer positions to learn the aspects of customer service, pricing merchandise
and sorting donations.
Aside from selling merchandise to the community, vouchers for GreatFinds merchandise
are given to women in need by area agencies. The store is a means for women, such as
domestic violence survivors or mental health consumers, to obtain clothing that is
clean, fashionable as they embark on a new life.
GreatFinds has been the recipient of a number of clothing drives organized by area
girl scout troups, schools and community groups like the Albany-Colonie Chamber of
Commerce's Women's Business Council. If you are interested in sponsoring a clothing
drive, contact the store's manager at 449-7715 or the agency's marketing director at
435-9931, ext. 261.
Donations can be dropped off at the store Monday-Friday 8:30 to 5:00 p.m. or you may
call if special arrangements are needed. GreatFinds is located at 260 Washington
Ave., Albany at the corner of Henry Johnson Boulevard.

Diane and Joy organzied a clothing drive to benefit GreatFinds, its vocational trainees, and the many people in the community who rely on free or low-cost clothing.
